2024 - a standout year for sporting legacy!
2024 has been a momentous year for Lee Valley Regional Park Authority as we marked 10 years since two of our Olympic legacy venues opened to the public. It’s been a year in which we’ve shown that the spirit and sporting legacy from London 2012 continues to thrive.

Authority funds 3,000+ community experiences in 2024
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority’s grant and community funding schemes help pay for thousands of visits to its park and venues each year. In 2024 it funded more than 3,250 experiences – from inner London community tennis, women’s cycling groups, young carers rafting sessions and horse riding to support mental health.

Lee Valley Marina, Springfield, in Walthamstow has struggled for many years with the impact of floating pennywort. The large mats often make moving boats impossible in the summer months and it costs thousands of pounds each year to manage.

Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre is set to welcome the EuroHockey Championships 2027 once again, after it was announced that England has been awarded the hosting rights to the prestigious tournament.
