If you want to keep the joints moving and you don’t want to do anything too strenuous, come along to Lee Valley Athletics Centre on Sunday 21 June and learn more about staying fit and healthy at the Sporting Futures event.
Sporting Futures is the biggest FREE sport and physical activity event in North London, and is inviting every one of any age and ability to come along and try something new.
Whether you have previously been very active or have never really done much exercise before, it's never too late to start and the benefits will last you for years. Regular exercise incorporated into our lifestyle can improve our heart & respiratory function, lower our blood pressure, increase our strength, improve bone density, improve flexibility, quicken our reaction time, reduce body fat, increase muscle mass, reduce our susceptibility to depression & disease and can help you get a more restful and beneficial night's sleep.
Supported by national and London wide campaigns, Change4Life, Go London and Play Sport London, Sporting Futures aims to inspire and motivate people to get active and lead healthier lifestyles. There are over 40 different activities to try including short mat bowls, golf, yoga, hula hooping and you can even relax and unwind with a massage.
NHS Enfield will be on hand providing free health checks and advice on how to improve your health and fitness while having fun.
