Join us for 'A Walk in the Park' and take in the breath taking scenery and history of Waltham Abbey Gardens and Cornmill Meadows. Follow in the foot steps of the ancient monks who once tended the abbey and learn about how they might have lived.
Once one of the largest Augustinian abbeys in the country, with information panels all around the site bring its history to life, this scenic and social walk is great for all - including the dog!
One of our volunteer walk leaders will take you around this fantastic walk which is now a dragonfly sanctuary and wildlife refuge as well as a historic site.

> The length of this walk is 4.6 km (2.8 miles) and can take between 2 to 2.5 hours
> Part of this walk is along unsurfaced footpaths and is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.

> Wear suitable clothing and footwear for the walk.
> Please bring water and snacks to keep you energised
> Bring some binoculars to really see the beauty and wildlife around you.

By bus: the 251 goes from the station to the town
By car: Waltham Abbey is a 5 minute drive from the M25 (J26)
