Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is playing an active part in what will be the most exciting event in the world - the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
1.2 million people and 15,000 athletes are expected to visit
London as part of the London 2012 Games
representing a once in a lifetime opportunity for the country.
We own 20 per cent of the Olympic Park and have been working with a huge variety of stakeholders and partners to ensure the success of the Games’ legacy.
We will own, manage and fund four venues after the London 2012 Games – Lee Valley White Water Centre
in Hertfordshire, which is the only brand new London 2012 venue to be open to the public before the Games, plus the Hockey and Tennis Centres
which will include allotments and five-a-side football pitches, and the VeloPark -
all on the Olympic Park.
Our legacy venues
These new centres will join the other regional sports venues the Authority runs to add to the chain of sporting excellence along the 26 mile long, 10,000 acre

We've decades of experience of running outstanding parklands and first rate sporting venues – our world class
Lee Valley Athletics Centre
is the training ground for many of the UK’s top athletes and 2012 hopefuls. We know how to blend the elements needed to help top class athletes achieve greatness, with the types of community usage which makes venues come alive.
