Heritage trail

You can now discover the industrial heritage of the Lee Valley thanks to a new trail taking you through the valley’s manufacturing and inventing past.

The Lee Valley boasts many firsts – the flight of Britain’s first powered aeroplane at Walthamstow Marshes, the creation of the world’s first plastic and manufacture of the world’s first lightbulb.
